HEAD COOK
- Work as a team member with the village dean, counseling staff,
and food service staff by effectively communicating needs and limitations.
- Maintain safe food handling standards and ensure staff is in compliance.
- Plan culturally authentic menus.
- Follow budget guidelines and maintain invoice records.
- Work with your baker to accurately order bakery ingredients.
- Order food and supplies from vendors and the Distribution Center.
- Schedule, supervise, and evaluate your kitchen staff.
- Prepare task lists for each meal and delegate duties to your kitchen staff.
- Prep, cook, and serve meals.
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen area clean.
- Operate and train others on how to use large scale kitchen equipment.
ASSISTANT COOK
- Work as a team member with the village dean, counseling staff,
and food service staff by effectively communicating needs and limitations.
- Maintain safe food handling standards.
- Delegate tasks and make decisions during the absence of the head cook.
- Prep, cook, and serve meals.
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen area clean.
- Operate large scale kitchen equipment.
BAKER
- Work as a team member with the village dean, counseling staff, and
food service staff by effectively communicating needs and limitations.
- Maintain safe food handling standards.
- Work with the head cook to accurately order ingredients for your recipes.
- Bake all breads and desserts requested by the head cook.
- Label all baked products.
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen area clean.
- Operate large scale kitchen equipment.
- You can expect to work a night shift, either alone or with second baker.
KITCHEN HELPER
- Work as a team member with the village dean, counseling staff, and food
service staff by effectively communicating needs and limitations.
- Maintain safe food handling standards.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a meal as determined by the head cook.
- Help dish and serve meals.
- Wash dishes and keep the kitchen area clean.
