Eric Dregni
Eric Dario Dregni is dean of Lago del Bosco, Fosston, the Italian Language Village. Dario has an M.F.A in creative writing and an M.A. in Italian from the University of Minnesota. He has a B.A. in music, with an English minor, from Macalester College in St. Paul. Prior to that, he earned an M. Ballini in accounting in Brescia, Italy. He has spent more than for years in Italy (Brescia and Modena) and a year in Norway on a Fulbright award.
Dario has been a teaching assistant in Italian and in creative writing at the U of MN; he was a TA for Garrison Keillor's class "Composition of Comedy." He is a freelance writer and travel writer.
Among Dario's published books are Weird Minnesota (2006) , The Scooter Bible (2005), and "Grazie a Dio non sono bolognese! Un Americano a Modena" (Thank God I'm not from Bolgona! An American in Modena) (2003).
Dario's first summer with Concordia Language Villages was summer 2007, his first summer as dean as well. In the early '90s, Dario was a staff member at a pilot American camp in France, started by a retired Concordia Language Village associate.
