Ross King

Ross King K’yosu KingRoss King K'yosu King is dean of Sup sogŭi Hosu, the Korean Language Village.  He was a villager at the Spanish, Russian and German Language Villages from 1971-1977, and served on staff at the Russian and German Villages in 1978 and 1979 before starting his B.A. in linguistics at Yale (’83) and going on to earn his Ph.D. in the same subject at Harvard (’91).

The author of numerous textbooks, teaching aids, and research publications in the area of Korean language and linguistics, he currently serves as professor of Korean at the University of British Columbia in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. He loves nothing more than to be flagged down by villagers and asked anything about Korean.
