Science is a global language linking young and old around the world. In 2012 kids ages 6-11 can join in hands-on adventures in science at Waldsee! The Waldsee BioHaus offers a treasure trove of kid-friendly science experiments. Bake a pizza in your own solar oven. Power a car using only water. Turn on a radio with your bicycle. Use magnets to cook your lunch. Test homemade rockets and gliders.

Experience the wonders of science with all of your senses — touch, taste, sight, smell and hearing! Take advantage of Waldsee’s beautiful North Woods lakeside location for first-hand discoveries of nature. Kids in Waldsee’s ScienceDay Camp use teamwork and creative problem solving to unlock the wonders of science through experimentation and innovation.

Language Use:  You can use your English along the way, but because the tie between science and the German language is strong, don’t be surprised if Albert Einstein joins you for some fun and teaches you a little German too!

Lunch is Included!  We cook and bake all of our meals from scratch.  Lunch may be a family style meal served in the dining hall or it may be a picnic by the lake. If your child has special dietary needs or allergies, please use our health form to specify them. We also recognize and accommodate most vegetarian-style preferences.

Location and Cost:  The Waldsee Science Day Camp takes place at the German Language Village just 15 minutes northeast of Bemidji:   
Monday-Friday  9:00-3:30
Cost:  $219

Shuttle Service!  A convenient shuttle service from a central location in Bemidji is offered for $30 per week. Parents may also drop off and pick up their Science Day Campers themselves.
