Our Twin Cities Japanese program for preschoolers, Mori no Yochien, consists of two different classes. Children ages 18 months to 2 years attend Risu (the squirrels) with a parent or caregiver. Kuma (the bears) for children 3½ - 5 years old is a drop-off class that meets twice a week. These classes are designed to continuously build language and cultural knowledge.

We make learning Japanese fun, teaching through games and movement, music, drama, arts and crafts, stories and food.   The program is a natural precursor to Mori no Ike, the Japanese Language Village, our residential summer program for ages 7-18.

Location:
Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd
4801 France Ave S.
Minneapolis, MN (free parking available)

This language program is customized to reflect the culture and language of Japan. The progression of curriculum ensures that each class builds on the previous one, continually challenging the learner.
