Eduardo Gargurevich
Eduardo Gargurevich is the dean of the Spanish Study Abroad in Argentina. He is a native of Perú and has traveled widely in Latin America and Europe. Eduardo has led a variety of off-campus programs for Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., including seminars to Latin America, justice journeys and a Habit for Humanity journey.
Eduardo earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in Latin American literature from the University of Maryland. He joined the faculty of Concordia College as a member of the Spanish department in 1994, serving as chair of the department from 2000 to 2002. His areas of academic expertise are Latin American cultural studies, post-colonial studies, Latin American literature, and foreign language teaching. He is a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the Modern Language Association, Asociación Internacional de Peruanistas, and the Latin American Studies Association. A native speaker of Spanish, he is fluent in English and has studied French, Portuguese, Italian and Russian.
