Rosemaling Instructors

Patti Goke of St Cloud, Minn. will lead Telemark rosemaling for beginners and intermediate in both oil and acrylic paints. Patti is a Gold Medal Rosemaler and has been rosemaling for over 20 years. She has taken many classes with American and Norwegian artists including Vesterheim Gold Medalist Karen Jensen. Patti has taught at the Villages various styles of rosemaling for three years.

From Bemidji, Minn., Mary Morton will instruct beginning and intermediate painters in Rogaland style with oil paints. Mary has taught at Bemidji Community Education, North Country Arts and Crafts Program and the Villages many years and has rosemaled for over 32 years.

June Nyberg from Superior, Wisc. is a long-time instructor of the Villages including the North Country Arts and Crafts Program. June will offer instruction at all levels in both oils and acrylics for cloth painting, Nisse (Norwegian little people), Norwegian fork lore, scrolls and border painting. June has taught at the villages over five times and has been rosemaling for 36 years.
