Daily Schedule Example

Like a trip abroad, right here at home!  Boost your language as you enjoy the activities and cuisine of the cultures you love this spring break. Designed for students in grades 6-12, these fully customizable one-week programs are the perfect opportunity for school groups and individuals to put their language into practice during the academic year.

 

In addition to customizable group programs, we also have two programs available for individuals scheduled for Spring of 2012:

 

French Immersion Week - April 1st - 7th, 2012

Spanish Immersion Week - April 1st - 7th, 2012

 

Participants will strengthen their oral, aural and written language skills as they try new cultural activities, enjoy new foods and meet new friends. This intensive program is appropriate for beginners, proficient speakers and everyone in between. Participants are matched with others who have a similar language level for their small language learning group period, yet cabin groups are gender and age specific. 

Weeklong Immersion Programs are led by native speakers. All of our staff are experienced teachers well versed in the language immersion pedagogy of Concordia Language Villages. Our Villager to staff ratio is 7:1. Teachers accompanying school groups have a supervisory role and will be asked to participate in the program as needed. 

  

Concordia Language Villages at The Forest is an international retreat center complete with 10 miles of hiking trails. Cabins are located in dorm-style buildings built in the 1980's, complete with multiple lounges and fireplaces. The Village is located in Marine on St Croix, Minn. just 45 minutes northeast of the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. Shuttle service form the airport is available for $50 round-trip.

Customs will be open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first day of the Weeklong Immersion Program. The session concludes with an hour-long Closing Program for family and friends at 10:00 a.m. on the final day.
