Workshop Examples

Incorporating Environmental Studies into the German classroom
The super energy-efficient BioHaus Environmental Living Center and the nature trails surrounding Waldsee will provide inspiration for teachers to develop lesson plans incorporating German environmentalism into their curriculum. Participants also team-teach with experienced Waldsee teachers, create lesson units, and develop classroom materials.

Empowering Students via Self-assessment
Help your students set personal goals and learn how to coach students to chart and monitor their progress towards achieving these goals. Using the Concordia Language Visa (CLVisa) as a guide, learn how to connect your curriculum to goal statements of what students should know and be able to do.

Learn a Language, Learn the World
Learn strategies and activities to bring a global perspective to the world language classroom. Activities are designed to help students make comparisons and connections as they learn more about the countries of the world.
