Welcome to Soiva at Salolampi!
This seven-day program combines musical instruction in piano, flute, clarinet, or violin with a Finnish Language Village experience.
Music instruction will be by teachers from Finland and from the United States and will take place at the music department of Bemidji State University. Your experience will culminate in a concert performance for the community and your family and friends.
You will live at Salolampi, where the regular Salolampi staff lead you in an immersion experience in Finnish language and culture in the mornings and evenings. You dine on Finnish food, learn Finnish songs at the campfire and, of course, enjoy the sauna! No previous Finnish language or cultural experience is required.
