Counselor Profiles

Counselors. Probably the people who make the most direct impact on a villager’s experience are the counselors. They come from the Midwest, from abroad, from all walks of life. Many are college students who bring energy and a desire to learn as well as teach. Others are teachers at middle schools and high schools. Still others find ways to escape their jobs and work in two to six weeks at the Villages. They give up their summer vacations for the love of language, culture, and the community created at the Language Villages. Here are four of their stories.
