Maintenance Person
Our J-1 Visa does not authorize us to hire support positions from outside the United States. Support positions are for U.S. citizens only.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to do minor repairs of machinery and buildings
• Interest and ability in maintaining a clean and safe Village site
• Current driver’s license
• Previous Concordia Language Villages or camping experience
• Oral proficiency in the target language preferred
Responsibilities
• Maintain an inventory of supplies (cleaning, toilet paper, light bulbs, tools)
• Check with the designated person daily for needed maintenance
• Watch for safety and health hazards and report these to the dean
• Keep Village equipment and facilities in good repair
• Maintain and repair buildings, toilets, activity and grounds areas
• Clean bathroom areas as scheduled
• Promote environmentally conscious actions
Compensation
$355-575 for a two-week period, room and board
