Looking for a Village address to send a letter or care package to a summer villager?  Find a complete list of addresses here.

We welcome you to join us at the Language Villages this summer or any time this year. This section includes information on access points to our programs and it provides more detailed information from our program handbooks. Much of the information in this section is relevant to all our programs and will give you an idea about how we operate and what to expect when you arrive at your Village.

Access points

The Summer Villages Experience:

Parent Evaluation Form
Parent feedback is highly valued at Concordia Language Villages and is used to improve the program each year. Parents are sent an e-mail to the address they provided on the registration form. They will be directed to an on-line survey assessment tool asking them to rate areas of the program and to give comments. We encourage parents to complete this on-line survey and return it to us with any concerns clearly stated. Additionally, we encourage parents to send our administrative team letters detailing any concerns. We read and respond appropriately to such letters.

Welcome Packet
Included in the Welcome Packet is the Parent Handbook which describes our policies, forms to return (health and transportation), a packing list, and information about receiving high school credit, if applicable.

You may request duplicate copies of forms by calling 1-800-222-4750 or e-mailing clv@cord.edu.

Village Pages
Concordia Language Villages aims to incorporate technology into its programs while at the same time maintaining the full-sensory learning and surround-sound language immersion environment present at all our sites. Over the last few years, deans, counselors, and our tech team have developed Village-specific web pages, called “Village Production Pages,” that capture in photographs and video day-to-day Village activities and villager progress.  Parents have responded positively, thrilled to have this window into their child’s language experience.

International Day
Twice each summer, villagers and staff meet at Waldsee, the German Language Village on Turtle River Lake.  This gathering of roughly 2000 villagers, staff, parents and guests is called International Day. This festival is open to everyone and requires no admission fee. It is a unique opportunity for villagers, parents, and the public to learn about the language and cultural immersion programs Concordia Language Villages offers — all at one site!

Global eLinked
Global e-Linked is the Concordia Language Villages electronic newsletter.  By subscribing to Global e-Linked, you’ll receive monthly updates on all of the fun and exciting developments at the Language Villages. You will receive other occasional messages about new languages, new programs, new sites, new scholarships and more.  You can also manage your subscription to the Waldsee Rundbrief, a newsletter from our German Language Village.

Nametag Day
"Where in the World Are You?" Photo Contest
Every year we want to know where in the world our villagers and staff members are and what they're doing now. Wear your Village nametag on the first Monday in February for "International Wear Your Nametag Day." Share your Village language and stories with everyone you meet. You may discover someone else in your neighborhood who has also attended the Villages.

Nametag Trivia
When did the use of nametags start?
They were used from the beginning...the very first Village in 1961. They were a part of the first Waldsee session.
