She and her husband, Eric Ramlo, make their home in Red Wing, Minnesota --- Kari’s hometown. Kari’s love of teaching the Elderhostel student drove her to return to school and receive a Master’s of Science degree through the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Continuing and Vocational Education in 1995. Both work full time for their business, Kari Berit Presents of which they offer keynotes, consulting and Kari Berit is also an author of mental fitness and caregiving books.
