Sen Lín Hú Schedule
Sēn Lín Hú will spark your senses and widen your horizons – whether you are speaking Mandarin Chinese in your xiaozu (language-learning group) or participating in activities.
Activities If you like music, you'll like the songs
at Sēn Lín Hú! Try the dízi (bamboo flute) or èrhú (Chinese
violin). Practice martial arts such as gongfu (Kung Fu) or taìjíqúan (Tai
Chi).
China’s rich history and diverse cultural traditions come alive through shu-fa (calligraphy), Chinese chess, làran (batik) or zuocài (Chinese cooking). Or you may help prepare for an
Olympics. Of course, there’s also swimming and canoeing, and the sunsets atSēn Lín Hú are magnificent.
Food You'll eat family style around the table with plenty of food. Enjoy Chinese dumplings or kongpao chicken and of
course lots of rice! The chef is always busy creating scrumptious
meals that you'll eat with chopsticks.
Credit High school aged
villagers can attend the four week credit session and earn one year of
high school credit in Chinese! No previous knowledge is necessary. All
levels of fluency are accommodated. Prepare for a future trip to China
or career in international trade or for the 2008 Olympics in
Beijing!
Everyone is welcome!
No previous exposure to Chinese is required – whether you are a beginning or advanced Chinese learner, the native-speaking staff, as well as others who have lived and studied in China or other parts of Asia, will support you on your language odyssey.
