STARTALK scholarships for Teachers & Students
The National Security Language Initiative awarded Concordia Language Villages its second year of scholarship funding through the STARTALK grant. Scholarships through this program are now available for high school students (rising freshman through rising seniors) who wish to study either Arabic or Chinese. Scholarships are also available for teachers who are teaching or plan to teach these languages.
Mar e Floresta
In July 2008 Concordia Language Villages launches a brand new Village and language - a Portuguese Language Village, Mar e Floresta ("Sea and Woods"). During two-week immersion sessions, participants will study the language and take part in a variety of educational and cultural activities typical to Portuguese-speaking cultures. Mar e Floresta will be located at a camp facility in northern Minnesota. |
