Village Weekends ignite enthusiasm among your
students and in your classroom! Reserve your spot for 2007/08 now! For over 30 years teachers from
the region and from as far away as Florida and Washington have brought students to Village Weekends
to enrich their students' language learning. There is no other place that immerses language students
in the culture and language like Village Weekends at Concordia Language Villages: It's travel abroad
without leaving the U.S.!
Village
Weekends provide a fun and exciting immersion experience for students
in grades 3-12 and their language teachers. Village Weekends are designed to enhance language learning in the classroom during the academic year.
Students’ understanding can improve dramatically during a Village Weekend and rekindle the excitement of language learning. Language
and culture come to life through authentic games, arts, sports, traditions, music, food and native staff.
Teachers also have the opportunity to communicate in their chosen language at a conversational level, exchange ideas with other language teachers and learn how to integrate Village activities and games into their classrooms back home.
All
Village Weekends are held at one of our year-round Turtle River Lake sites near Bemidji, Minn.
Transportation is available from Minneapolis. We welcome large or
small groups from as far away as Texas and Idaho!
