Eric Dario Dregni
Eric Dario Dregni is currently working on his MFA in creative writing at the University of Minnesota. He has an MA in Italian from the same university and a BA in music, with an English minor, from Macalester College in St. Paul. Prior to that, he earned an M. Ballini in accounting in Brescia, Italy. He has spent more than four years in Italy (Brescia and Modena) and a year in Norway on a Fulbright.

He has been a teaching assistant in Italian and in creative writing at the U of MN; he was a TA for Garrison Keillor's class "Composition of Comedy." In addition to being a teaching assistant, he is a freelance writer and travel writer. Among Eric's published books are Weird Minnesota (2006), The Scooter Bible (2005), and "Grazie a Dio non sono bolognese!" Un Americano a Modena (Thank God I'm not from Bologna! An American in Modena) (2003).

Eric and his wife Katy have two young sons, to whom he speaks exclusively Italian.
