All families applying for scholarships from Concordia Language Villages must complete the Global Citizen Scholarship Application. Additional scholarship opportunities may require separate forms. Please see their descriptions under U.S. Domestic Programs.
The application deadline for the Global Citizen Scholarship is February 15, 2008. Please see additional scholarship forms for their individual deadlines.
The forms below must be accompanied by your:

English and Abroad Programs
Some scholarships are designated for a specific language; others require membership in certain cultural organizations. Most scholarships are need-based. Need is determined through a calculation that considers family size and adjusted gross income. We encourage all who have financial need to apply, but please note:
- Approximately 40 percent of the total applicant pool receives scholarships.
- 95 percent of scholarships go to families with an AGI under $40,000
- The average recipient’s AGI is $25,000
All applicants will be notified by April 1. If you are not awarded financial aid or if your award does not meet your need and you wish to cancel your registration, your deposit will be refunded until June 1, 2008. Cancellations after June 1 will be assessed a cancellation fee. Please see the 2008 registration form for the complete cancellation policy.
Tips for Scholarship Applicants
- Make small payments toward your outstanding balance every month. If you don’t receive a scholarship, you’ll be far ahead in paying for the session!
