Building Sjölunden | Sjölunden Schedule
 Allison Magda Spenader is dean at Sjölunden, the Swedish Village. Spenader has been on staff at Concordia Language Villages for 12 years, and was a villager for one year. She is fluent in Swedish and Polish and has studied Finnish and German.
Spenader received her bachelor’s degree in Scandinavian Studies and her master’s degree in ESL at the University of Illinois. She is pursuing her doctorate in second languages and cultures at the University of Minnesota.
Spenader was an AFS exchange student to Uppsala, Sweden, and has subsequently studied at the University of Stockholm, as well as Jagiellonian University, in Krakow, Poland. She teaches Swedish at the University of Minnesota.
Patricia Pia Johnson is the dean of the Swedish Credit Abroad Program. Patricia earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University Mankato, and has taught at schools in Minnesota and Nevada. She currently teaches third grade in Las Vegas, where she also organizes professional learning community gatherings for her colleagues.
Patricia has been a staff member with Sjölunden, the Swedish Language Village, for 22 years. Patricia was dean of Sjölunden for five summers, and most recently has taken on the role of high school credit curriculum facilitator at Sjölunden. Patricia studied at the University of Linköping, in Linköping, Sweden. She is fluent in Swedish and has studied Spanish.
