Energie is the theme for this year’s Waldsee Village Weekends.
Viel Deutsch und noch mehr Energie! This year's theme at Waldsee Village Weekends is energy and much of our program will be focused on the Biohaus, Waldsee's new environmental learning center. Here, villagers explore German advances in the uses and conservation of energy. The weekends also include activities representing the countries of German-speaking Europe, such as: games, crafts, sports, music, outdoor adventures, and food!
You're sure to have an exciting time learning at a Waldseewochenende!  Students return to their German classes with a renewed enthusiasm for learning German and the culture of those who speak German.
Although some Weekends are filling fast, there are still openings for January 18-21, February 9-11, March 16-18, April 12-15, and May 11-13.

To reserve places for students in any of these weekends, teachers should visit concordialanguagevillages.org and check out Village Weekends.  Information is also available at 800-450-2214.

We cook up fun at Familienfest!

Bemidji days are shorter and kids are off to school.  Our thoughts turn to Herbst (Fall) and the coming Winter.  At Waldsee that means Village Weekends Waldsee-Wochenenden, the October adult week Deutsch-auf-Deutsch  and our family weekend Familienfest.  Every February families come together to learn the German language and to experience German-speaking cultures.  Of course FOOD is an important component of any cultural experience, so we happily enjoy meals of Wienerschnitzel, Rouladen, or Erbsensuppe cooked for us by professional Language Village cooks.  We are spoiled by Kaffee und Kuchen every afternoon. We also have the opportunity to try recipes for ourselves during the Kochen or Backen activities.  Join us February 16-19, 2007 for a taste of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.  Reserve a table for your family now!

High School Credit Programs at Waldsee

Beginning through advanced learners (rising 9th-12th graders) can participate in four-week hands-on immersion credit sessions at Waldsee in Minnesota, offering at least 180 hours of instruction equivalent to one year of high school German. There’s no better way to learn!  Plus, we are now offering two adventure program credit sessions for participants with at least basic German skills. Der Märchenwald credit program focuses on exploring German through medieval folklore, theater, games and much more.

Die Grüne Welle is our newest credit adventure program, which will focus on learning German through studying environmental science and plenty of outdoor activities, such as camping and canoeing down the Mississippi.
