City Council

The City Council, mainly consisting of the mayor, the judge, the sheriff and the treasurer, all of them elected by the inhabitants of Simtown, has the challenge to write a constitution, decide on the (amount of the) taxes the different branches have to pay, discuss grants and represent the inhabitants of Simtown.

City Council is a link between the counsellors and the villagers and is operating as an arbitrator between the two positions.

At the beginning of Simtown all of the villagers can propose themselves for one of the four positions in City Council: mayor, judge, sheriff or treasurer.

These candidates are running a campaign during the following day to win the hearts or minds of the electors. This is normally done by posters, hand-shaking and holding speeches to convince the auditory.
